Xchanging .provides complex business processing services to companies around the globe. As their US architect, Whitney partnered with Xchanging’s management architect, Chadwick International, in developing their first U.S. location – their flagship corporate headquarters near Chicago. The challenge was to create a world-class office space, while reflecting the corporate culture which was open, egalitarian, innovative and efficient. The radical new space includes no private offices, utilizes a “benching” system where every employee is treated equally, open space planning, clean lines, and a cool color palette.

Curved glass partitions maintain the open, airy feel. A flexible training room for 40 people includes an AV system that ties-in to any laptop computer, 5-stage lighting sequence, custom room graphics and mobile furniture. The client also required a full- height, full-width writeable magnetic wall so support their large poster-sized graphics.
